About Brendan Wetzel


The recipient of a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Rider University, Brendan Wetzel obtained several scholarships to support his studies at the school, including the Lower Makefield Historical Society Scholarship, Rider University Dean’s Scholarship, and Guy Stroh Philosophy Scholarship. In addition, Brendan Wetzel served as president of the campus’ Phi Sigma Tau International Honor Society of Philosophy and won Best Screenplay at the Rider University Film Symposium. He graduated cum laude in 2018.

Currently, Wetzel is president of Yardley Landscaping and Paving Company in Yardley, Pennsylvania. He started the small business while in school and has since grown it to a successful residential and corporate landscaping enterprise that provides services ranging from mulching and grounds maintenance to paving, power washing, and blacktop work. Wetzel is particularly adept in lawn and plant health care as well as driveway seal coating, among other landscaping and paving services. The business serves clients throughout Bucks County.

Brendan Wetzel previously worked as a management intern for the Trenton Thunder minor league baseball team while in university. This position involved sales, marketing, and public relations support. He also completed an internship with Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, focusing on serving constituents and supporting veterans.

Complementing his practical landscaping skills, Brendan Wetzel is skilled with administrative software such as Microsoft Excel and Word. He also has writing experience as a contributor to The Rider News at his alma mater. Additionally, he has volunteered for causes to support homeless individuals, and in the past, has provided shelter for people during the winter months. In his free time, his hobbies include golf, hiking, cycling, and climbing. He once reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, and has also made the trek to Machu Picchu in Peru.
